Saturdays at Borisovdrev – 3 community work days on end

"My father works there. He said that there would be three days of unpaid work on end. I have visited the plant on business today. Everything is clean; they are replacing the windows now. The work is in full swing. I am not sure about schoolchildren, but I know that masters and supervisors are cleaning the territory together with workers,” said Yuliya who does not work on the plant anymore.

The cleaning started after the President’s visit, another Borisovdrev worker told Euroradio.

"They brought people and started cleaning.”

Everyone is involved in cleaning the territory, the plant administration confirmed.

"Our department is working too and the whole administration. We will have three unpaid Saturdays on end. We have been cleaning today too.”

Deputy director for ideological work Natallya Zlobich came to her study for only three minutes because there was no time. “I have come for 3 minutes. You won’t find the director in his study either,” she told Radio Liberty. Indeed, she was not answering her phone the whole day.

The workshop the President visited is closed too – maybe it is necessary to put the nearby territory in order.

Building lyceum pupils are also helping. It is “a voluntary action”, headmistress Alena Zyablikava said:

"We do not replace classes with this work. But the construction is very important and large-scale and we understand it. There are many objects in the city where we are helping. Construction always starts with cleaning.”

Even schoolchildren are helping at the construction site, Barysau civil activist Syarhei Salash said. But we have not managed to confirm or refute this information.
