Work of Belarusian author makes TOP 100 of Best Books of 21st Century

The book "Second Hand Time" by Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich has been included in the hundred best works of the 21st century. The rating was made by The New York Times Book Review.

The reviewers say that Alexievich's book "delights and opens your eyes".

For the past five years, Alexievich has been forced to live abroad - in Germany. In 2020, she was a member of the Coordinating Council in Belarus, she was threatened with prosecution, and she went abroad.
