Political prisoner’s monthly wage – Br50 thousand
Prakapenka’s wage is considered to be one of the biggest in colony.
Political prisoner Artsyom Prakapenka met his parents on June 8 and 9. The living conditions in colony have worsened, the young man said. The colony is stuffed, 12 people are kept on the territory of 24 square meters instead of 10 now.
Prakapenka is a machine operator producing heat pipes now, they human rights website Viasna reports. He makes 50 thousand rubles a month (less than $4). The wage is considered to be big in colony, the political prisoner’s mother told human rights fenders.
Artsyom Prakapenka pled Alyaksandr Lukashenka for mercy in February 2015. However, he was refused without any explanation in April.
