"I do not think that it may affect the average level of wages in the country. It will affect those who get the minimal wage first," Vadzim Iosub, analyst of Alpari official partner in Minsk, told Euroradio.

The people who get the minimal wage will see a 4% increase. The rest may not notice anything.

The tariff rate is usually increased when the inflation reaches the level of 5%, the economist said. It seems that the government has already received some preliminary information for March, Iosub thinks.

The first-class tariff rate increased to 250 thousand roubles on April 1. The last increase was registered in Belarus on January 1, 2013 (to 240 thousands). It turns out that the tariff rate has increased by 4.2%.
