Minsk official have refused to allow their pickets, activists of the Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada) report.

The refusal was explained by the fact that the authorities had already appointed other events in the time suggested by social democrats.

The pickets were supposed to be held in Kiev Public Garden near the fountain on November 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 and 11. Social-democrats wanted to draw attention to Belarusians’ decreasing real income and the increase in the prices of goods and services. They also wanted to point at the absence of structural political and economic reforms.
