The action Chain of Memory was dedicated to Belarusian intellectuals killed during Stalin’s repressions.
The action Chain of Memory dedicated to Belarusian intellectuals killed during Stalin’s repressions was held hear Minsk KGB headquarters on October 29. Its participants commemorated Belarusian intellectuals shot during Stalin’s’ repressions. More than 100 Belarusian literary men and cultural figures were killed on the night of October 29 in 1937.
The action was suggested by ex-political prisoner Mikola Statkevich. About a hundred people came to the threshold of KGB. The police did not interfere but reports were drawn up against the organizers of the action.
Candles were burring on the threshold of KGB for a long time after the action.
