Train collision in India, carriages fall into water (video)

Two trains have derailed in Madhya Pradesh: from 10 to 15 carriages have fallen into the water. At least 32 people have been killed. Five people are missing and over 40 people have been injured, foreign information agencies report.

Hundreds of people have been saved from the water, NDTV reports. The rescue operation was conducted in the evening when it was already dark.

Most people died of an electric shock. Some passengers fell into the water and others were injured in the fallen carriages. The death toll may increase, the authorities fear.

The accident was caused by the flooding of the railroad bed, the administration of the railways said.
