Tear gas in Minsk metro, Academy of Sciences
The incident occurred at 9.50 a.m. today.
One of the witnesses who noticed coughing people running out of the metro station near the cinema house October told Euroradio about it. There were about 10-15 of them.
Rescuers were not called, the Emergency Control Ministry told Euroradio.
A football fan was detained in the underground passage while pasting leaflets. He obstructed the police and used tear gas. A riot squad detained him. The leaflets were “about football”. The detained man is in Minsk Soviet District Department of the interior now.
