However, it is impossible to say that they won by a neck. The 17th (!) attempt to attack Petr Čech's gates resulted in a goal. The Portuguese made 20 attempts to score a goal while the Czechs made only 2.
The Czechs played an extremely defensive game for 1.5 periods. However, Cristiano Ronaldo managed to score a goal during the 79th minute and destroyed the Czechs hope for additional time.
