Mihalevich: KGB’s film is cut from different meetings (video)

The General Prosecutor’s Office showed a video of Ales Mihalevich’s interrogation in KGB detention on April 4. It was noted that the politician did not complain about tortures, was very calm and suggested cooperation himself.

Mihalevich: “I was surprised because the film was cut from different meetings with officers of the criminal investigation department that took place after I had been made to meet KGB officers”.

Mihalevich says that the interrogations were conduced according to the classic scheme – “kind interrogator – evil interrogator”. The film shown on April 4 was made with “the kind interrogator”, notes the politician.

Speaking about tortures Mihalevich noted that there had been no direct beatings. According to him, KGB tried to avoid bodily injuries that could be registered and photographed.

Euroradio has wondered why the politician told KGB that he could be useful for the special services.

Mihalevich: "I started playing with KGB by its rules. It is evident that I refused to sign any documents concerning the cooperation. I was made to sign the cooperation agreement as a potential opportunity to be released. It was a game started by KGB and I hoped to be released to be able to tell about the things that were happening there”.

The strangest moment in the film is the one where Mihalevich is singing when he is left alone. The politician explains:

Mihalevich: "It was a moment when a KGB member was in the room. We had just discussed the fact that terrifying rogue songs about prison and Magadan were played during strolls. I sang “Vladimir Central Prison” and laughed that even the Committee listened to such music”.

Mihalevich notes that the film is cut from many interrogations. It can be proved by the changing colour of his sweater.
