Mahiliou human rights defenders trying to find out about Sannikau's destiny
A session of the committee for defense of the victims of repressions took place in Mahiliou today.
Its members discussed how to protect the life and health of Andrej Sannikau who is in the detention center in Mahiliou, waiting for the prison transport to Babruisk. The reason for this extra-ordinary session was the information that the political prisoner had been placed in the so-called "pressure-cell" in the detention center. This information was published in the internet.
Human rights defenders filed an application in the name of the prison head, Barys Bukhel has informed live on air to Euroradio. They demand to give a response immediately and to inform the media about the ex-presidential candidate's destiny. Now they are trying to make an appointment with the head of the detention center.
