Biathlon: Domracheva wins pursuit (video)

Belarusian biathlete Darya Domracheva started as #4, 23 seconds after the leader – German Laura Dalmayer. Domracheva was 23 seconds behind after the sprint on February 7. The Belarusian had to run two penalty laps and was in the 12th position after two firing lines. Darya Domracheva was #6 after the second firing line.

It started snowing and the wind rose after the third firing line. Rivals started missing and Darya Domracheva made use of it and left the firing line in the third position. Domracheva was 19 seconds behind the leader (Sokolova).

The leaders were shooting at the same time at the fourth firing line. The Czech missed twice, Belarusian Domarcheva and Finn Mäkäräinen missed once. As a result, the Belarusian became the leader and did not let anyone leave her behind anymore.

Kaisa Mäkäräinen came second. The Belarusian has approached her in the general score table even more. Belarusian Iryna Kryuko was #10 – it was the best result in her career. Nazdeya Skardzina came 19th, Nadzeya Pisarava – 36th. Anastasiya Dubarezava was disqualified.
