BCD party denied registration for the fifth time

The party Belarusian Christian Democracy has again failed to get legalized in Belarus. The Ministry of Justice refused to register it for the fifth time. According to Euroradio, one of the leaders of the organizing committee, Dzyanis Sadousky, officials found "minor errors" in the documents. Besides, the two founders  withdrew their signatures under pressure.

Mr Sadouski: "We used the time before the so-called elections in order to make another test for the government. We had some signals that there may be some steps in our direction. But it is obvious that they were not true, but we did not really count on them."

According to Mr Sadouski, members of the BCD organizing committee believe the decision of the Justice Ministry to be "illegal and politically motivated." They will prepare a complaint to the Supreme Court. Currently, the organizing committee will receive two months of legal status.
