Yarmoshyna: Exit polls are possible
They may be organized by any accredited structure.
Exit polls may be conducted at the presidential election this year, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna said. She announced it during an online broadcast of SB. Belarus Today. According to Yarmoshyna, the CEC does not order such things but any accredited structure is free to conduct exit polls. It is necessary to get the accreditation in the corresponding commission of the Academy of Sciences, BELTA reports.
ONT ordered an exit poll that was conducted by the sociological company TSN Ukraine in 2010. However, the company had been compromised in Ukraine in 2009: presidential candidate Sergey Tsigipko won a case about rigged election against the company. It turned out that 40% of the polees’ answers had been changed by the company.
