Turchinov: We will take adequate measures against criminals!
Ukraine's acting president and speaker of Parliament Alexander Turchinov addresses the Ukrainian people over escalation of tension in South East.
“Ukraine’s enemies are trying to repeat the Crimean scenario” in the Eastern regions of Ukraine, he noted. Heads of the security services have been sent there and ‘an anti-crisis headquarters’ was created to take the situation under control.
The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada will consider the law ‘on increasing criminal responsibility for separatism’ and similar crimes on April 8, Turchinov said. Political parties and organizations ‘supporting the aggressor’ and whose armed members ‘oppose to the Ukrainian statehood’ will be forbidden.
“We will take adequate measures against criminals!” Alexander Turchinov said.
