Council of Belarusian Intelligentsia wants to unite opposition for election

According to Kolas, the members of the Council are visiting the regions now, they have already been in Hrodna and Mahileu regions. The Council wants to hear the opinions of the local opposition members and to urge ordinary party members to put pressure on their leaders so that they would unite.

Kolas has underlined that the authorities are consolidated and tough while the opposition is disunited. The reason for this disunity lies in the leaders' personal issues. In his opinion, getting united before the parliamentary election is what the opposition needs now, reports BelaPAN

He is convinced that people in the regions are ready to be united, their work is consolidated and well-coordinated. Kolas says that only the leaders create the problem slowing this process down.
