Cars of Latvia's President and Speaker of Parliament collide in Riga

According to BELTA, the 21st anniversary of barricades was celebrated in Riga. The chief officials of Latvia headed for the Monument of Liberty in order to pay floral tribute. The official cars which belonged to the country's President Andris Bērziņš and the Speaker of Parliament Solvita Āboltiņa collided near the monument. 

The Speaker was in the car at the moment of the accident. The state leader had left the vehicle before. No one suffered in the accident.

The police made a report at the accident site.
