Presidential elections in Montenegro are held today

Presidential elections have started in Montenegro this morning. It is the first time presidential elections have been held since Montenegro left the union with Serbia in the summer of 2006.
There are four presidential contenders: the current President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović nominated by the Democratic Party of Socialists, a common candidate of the Serb List political alliance Andrija Mandić, the President of the Movement for Changes Nebojša Medojević and the head of Socialist People's Party of Montenegro Srđan Milić.

According to experts, Vujanović has more chances to win in the first tour. Milić is considered to be an outsider. About 490 thousand inhabitants of Montenegro having the right of voting are registered for the elections. The elections will take place even if there is the lowest turn-out.
