Only Orthodox priest did not let Koledari in
Artist Ales Pushkin has shared the details of the Koleda celebrations he has been organizing in Bobr for 13 years.
People put on costumes and walked across the village singing and greeting people on the evening of January 7. The Koleda old man, bear, goat and singers entered the houses of the people who had offended Ales Pushkin –for example, the former police captain who had brought an instigator to his yard the previous year. The Koledari collected candies and lard and even a chilled chicken. Only the local Orthodox priest did not let them in…
