MFA: EU did not set any terms before lifting visa sanctions against Makei

"We consider it to be a logical and clever decision which is essential for our mutual respect and dialogue,” BELTA quotes Savinyh. “Moreover, other dissentions may be settled in this dialogue.”

The MFA spokesman did not say whether Uladzimir Makei would take part in the meeting of Eastern Partnership Ministers in Brussels in July. “The issue is being discussed now. We will inform about Belarus’ decision later,” Andrei Savihyn said.

The decision to lift visa sanctions from the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs was made at the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council on June 24. Nevertheless, the Belarusian official is still on the EU black list.
