Experts alarmed over more toxics found in Belarus foodstuffs

Experts have detected an increase in cases when toxic substances are found in foodstuffs in Belarus over the past five years, said Kaciaryna Fedarenka, a top professor from the Belarusian Medical Post-Graduate Academy.
She suggests that this increase could be associated with the improvement of lab tests in Belarus or "alternatively, it could mean that foodstuffs are steadily exposed to contamination with toxic substunces".

Medics are alarmed that in most cases toxics are found in the products which are essential for the Belarusian traditional diet: meat, milk, vegetables, fish and others, reports Belapan.
