The Belarusian Air Force has increased the intensity of patrolling the border with Ukraine. According to the newspaper "Nash Kray", the 61st Fighter Air Base in Baranavichy explained the flights of aircraft, which occur more often. They say that Su-30SM fighters "patrol the airspace along the state border of the southern operational direction". The flights are carried out at an altitude of about 8,000 meters, at a speed of about 750 km/h "in combat orders at minimum intervals and distances".

A week ago, the Baranavichy base reported that its aviation was being sent to the airfield in the south of Belarus. This is done "in order to strengthen the state border" with Ukraine.

In August, the regime of Aliaksandr Lukashenka spoke about "strengthening the grouping of troops" near the state border with Ukraine. Kyiv called on Minsk to withdraw its troops from the border.
