In September 2026, Alyaksandr Lukashenka publicly claimed that his family had no connection to the advertising business: "It has even come to the point where, it turns out, it is my family that is involved in this [advertising]."
But it has emerged that a large share of the outdoor advertising market in Belarus is controlled by a company belonging to his daughter-in-law Hanna Lukashenka (Sialuk), according to investigative journalists at "Buro".
A firm called "Kreатыўны kod" (Creative Code), linked to Hanna Lukashenka, has recently become the owner of one of the largest outdoor advertising networks in Belarus. The balance sheet of "Creative Code" now includes nearly three thousand advertising structures (large-format billboards, city-format panels and digital screens) across Belarus: 185 in Brest, 296 in Vitebsk, 198 in Homel, 161 in Hrodna, 229 in Mahilyow and 1,858 in Minsk.
According to "Buro", the outdoor advertising market in Belarus was valued at a minimum of 10,000 structures in 2024. The total volume of the outdoor advertising market in 2025 amounted to 27.1 million roubles (nearly 7.9 million euros).
Thus, "Creative Code" accounts for almost a third of the entire outdoor advertising market in Belarus.
From two unrelated sources, the investigators learned that "Creative Code" had taken over the spaces of "Bigboard", a company with Czech capital and one of the major outdoor advertising operators in Belarus.
Notably, the email address used to register the domain of "Creative Code"'s website was [email protected]. It belongs to Pavel Charnukhin, who worked in "Bigboard" structures for at least the period from 2013 to 2024.
