Belarus-EU visa regime may be simplified at Riga summit

The visa regime simplification agreement may be ratified by Belarus and the EU at the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, Belarusian Ambassador to Belgium and permanent representative of Belarus in the EU and NATO Andrei Eudachenka told Belarus 1.

The corresponding consultations will be conducted in Minsk on March 10 and 11.

The meeting in Riga is appointed for May 21-22.

Speaking about Belarus’ relations with NATO, the diplomat noted that Belarus should be worried about the absence of any dialogue and cooperation, BelaPAN reports. Belarus and NATO ‘have clear plans of cooperation and interaction’, Eudachenka said. Belarus helped the Alliance transfer NATO cargo to Afghanistan which gave the country certain economic dividends, he reminded.
