Anti-Russian airbase picket taking place in Mahileu
50-year-old applicant for UCP member Mikalaj Hladushau is holding the picket.
The picket is held near the building of Mahileu city executive committee, it has started at 9.45. Mikalaj Hladyshau has hung a poster saying "No Russian airbases at Belarusian land!" on the fence.
The action is peaceful, BelaPAN informs. No policemen are seen, most passers-by do not react to the poster.
It became known that the Russian airbase would be set up in Lida in spring. Belarusians found this out from the Russian Minister of defense Sergei Shoigu. The Belarusian side refrains from giving any detailed comments.
