Journalist Ihar Bantsar sentenced to 5 days of detention
He was considered guilty of petty hooliganism.
The case was considered today in the police department "Center" of the Lenin district of Hrodna. Relatives and journalists were not admitted to the trial, as "police department is a regime object". Only the lawyer was let in, Ihar's wife Angelica Orechwo has informed to Euroradio.
Orechwo: “They gave him 5 days of detention for bad swearing... Ihar and his lawyer claimed that this was a political decision aimed at not letting him come to Andrzej Poczobut's trial on Friday”.
Let us remind you, Ihar Bantsar was detained in the morning on June 14 before the court trial against the journalist Andrzej Poczobut. The reasons for his detention have been kept in secret for a long time.
