Housing and communal services: We will not bring cars to evict BPF

The BPF Party is obliged to leave its office in Masherau Street by July 14. They have even discussed the possibility of being evicted by the police today. However, nothing has happened – party members did not have to leave the office with bags and the housing and communal services are not waiting at the door for them to leave.

The deputy leader of the BPF Party, Ryhor Kastusyou, has informed Euroradio that they have sent another appeal asking to reconsider the eviction of the party. The appeal has been sent to the Supreme Economic Court.

Ryhor Kastusyou:  “We have sent an appeal to the Supreme Economic Court. Of course, the appeal does not cancel the decision of Minsk City Court. However, we have also talked to Mr. Nikulin, officer of Minsk Economic Court, and to representatives of the housing and communal services and asked them to postpone our eviction until our appeal is heard”.

That is why they expect the security agencies or officers of the court to arrive at any moment.

However, director of Soviet District housing and communal services department Anatol Yarashevich has confessed to Euroradio that they are not going to evict the party from the office – they will have to wait for the appeal hearing.

Anatol Yarashevіch: “Nobody will turn them out. If they have lodged an appeal, and I have been informed that they have, we will have to wait for the court’s decision. The housing and communal services will not do anything: according to the law, we have to wait for the appeal hearing”.

If the court takes the side of the housing and communal services, officers of the court will evict the former tenants from the office.
