Demands to release Belarusian political prisoners in Warsaw (photo)
An action was organized near the Belarusian Embassy in Warsaw on November 10. Its participants demanded to release political prisoners in Belarus.
The action was organized by the Polish side – MEP Marek Migalski’s bureau. The previous actions in support of Belarusian political prisoners were organized mainly by Belarusian organizations of Poland. However, the MEP did not attend the action.
About 20 people with Belarusian national flags and political prisoners’ portraits gathered near the Embassy. They demanded to release political prisoners. Anatol Mihnavets, representative of the Union for Democracy in Belarus, urged to suspend the negotiations of the EU member states’ with the Belarusian President until all political prisoners were released.
The action participants sent a letter containing their signatures to the Belarusian Embassy at the end of the action. None of the Belarusian diplomats wanted to receive it so it was simply placed in the post-box.
