Political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich marks birthday
The ex-presidential candidate has turned 58 today.
Mikalai Statkevich ran for President in 2010. He was arrested after the brutal dispersal of the peaceful protest action. He was accused of organization of mass riots and imprisoned for six years on May 26, 2011.
Thus, Statkevich has already marked four birthdays in prison.
Statkevich is the only imprisoned presidential candidate who refused to plea for mercy. He is also the last political prisoner of Square-2010.
