Information Ministry to warn newspaper Nashe Pravoslaviye

An activist of Maladaya Belarus, Alyaksandr Halavan, together with other Orthodox believers appealed to the Ministry of Information. He asked to check the issue of the newspaper Nashe Pravoslaviye (Our orthodoxy) for compliance with the Belarusian legislation.

They were alarmed that in the March issue of the magazine was published an interview with a German citizen Margaret Seidler, fighting for Novorossiya militants. Ms Seidler called on Orthodox believers to join the war. Mr Halavan asked to check whether there was was propaganda in the article. 

The activist has received the reply from the Deputy Minister of Information Uladzimir Matusevich, nn.by reports. The letter said that the agency had analyzed issues of the newspaper and was preparing a written warning to the founding organization.

Chief editor of Nashe Pravoslaviye is a well-known activist of the "Russian world" Andrey Gerashchenko - a former official dismissed for the denial of the Belarusian nation.
