The Ministry of Information on Tuesday recommeded that the state-owned newsstand network Belsayuzdruk restrict the distribution of BelGazeta latest issue, Information Minister Aliaksandr Kalyukevich said in a statement.

The statement was issued in response to several inquiries to the ministry on why the newspaper had disappeared from from newsstands.

"It is inadmissable when media outlets or online platforms deliberately exagerate their criticism ending up with vulgarity and boorishness. Unfortunately, this phenomenon has become a system for BelGazeta," Minister Karlyukevich explained.

He called on journalists to remember that "ethical standards are an integral part of professional journalism."
