Former political prisoner Vasil Parfyankou sentenced to a year in colony

Parfyankou was considered guilty of breaking the rules of preventive police control. According to the court's decision, he will be forcibly treated from chronic alcoholism at the place of imprisonment.



BelaPAN reminds, in 2011, Vasil Parfyankou was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony for participation in the Square-2010 events. In August 2011, he was released under the state leader's pardon decree. This September Vasil Parfyankou got 5 days of detention for breaking the rules of preventive police control. He wasn't set free but was sent to the occupational therapy detox center for a year instead. Parfyankou was transported from Svetlahorsk for today's trial.
