Belarusian opposition denote criteria of their action’s effectiveness
A press-conference dedicated to the European March has taken place in Minsk today. Members of Belarusian democratic forces took part in it. According to a BNF youth activist Franak Vyachorka, the European March will be the biggest mass action of the opposition.
The European March is planned to take place on October 14 or October 21. The organizers will be asking to allow it at one of Minsk central avenues. The march will end with a mass meeting. It is planned to be the biggest mass action for the past few years.
It’s the first time the Belarusian opposition have denoted the criteria of effectiveness of their action.
After the campaign 50% of the Belarusian population are likely to support conditions and suggestions of the European Union and the idea of integration with the EU. A special survey will be conducted to find out whether the action brings its results. At the same time, the number of participants of the march should be at least 20 thousand people. If the authorities meet at least several conditions of the EU it will also be considered a success.
