Belarus suspects Montenegro, Moldova of supplying meat with swine flu

BELTA learned about this decision from the department of veterinary and food supervision at the Ministry of Agriculture. The ministry said that during the inspection of enterprises in Moldova, they found serious systemic violations of the animal health requirements and standards of the Customs Union. The same conclusion was reached by Rosselkhoznadzor inspectors who checked the companies of Montenegro.

It means that on November 1, Belarus temporarily suspends import into the country of pork and products of its processing from Moldova and Montenegro. At the same time, in respect to Montenegro, the prohibition does not apply to carcasses and half-carcasses of pork.

Pork, sent before November 1, will get to Belarusian enterprises only after analysisthe check for African swine plague virus.
