US Secretary of State concerned with human rights situation in Belarus

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is "very concerned" with the lack of a tangible progress with the human rights record of Tibet and Belarus, State Department acting spokesperson Robert Wood said in a statement on March 10.
The Secretary of State believes that US statements about the human rights violations during meetings with her foreign colleagues were not sufficient, and Hillary Clinton is looking for "new and creative ways" to influence on the situation, Wood said.

"We will continue to promote human rights. But we want to be more efficient in this field than the previous administration", said Wood
