Seized goods shop: From Zaporozhets to Porsche and Dodge with Swarovski crystals

Minsk regional customs has detained a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder belonging to a Venezuelan citizen. The court will decide what will happen next. The man violated the rules of the Customs Union – a foreign super car could only be used on our territory for one year. It was necessary to prolong the term at the customs. The car costs 200 thousand dollars.

Euroradio has decided to find out what will happen to the elite car if its owner loses the case and the Lamborgini is confiscated by the state.

“Confiscated cars are sent to the trading house Ushodni. Then they are sold,” Minsk regional customs replied.

Cars are seized in Minsk Province every month. Mahilyou customs has confiscated cars for Br3.7 billion since the beginning of the year.

“There are different cases. Some people forget to prolong the term, others import a car and sell it here. There is a Ukrainian Zaporoshets – the temporary import rules were violated. It costs 30 million roubles,” Minsk regional customs explained.

We found a BMW530 for 33 thousand dollars in the trade house Ushodni. A Porsche had already been sold for $60 thousand.

“We had a 2013 Dodge ram with Swarovski crystals and a leather interior. It was auctioned for $47 thousand. There was also a basic Porsche Panamera 4. It cost 80 thousand at first but was sold for $60 thousand later. The rest is just precious metal ,” the trade house told Euroradio.

Cars are bough if they cost significantly cheaper than their market price is.

“If the market price is 10 thousands and it costs 6, people will get interested. Some of our cars were used by smugglers and the interior may be damaged,” the seized goods shop added.

One of the most expensive cars we found in the catalogue was a DAF truck. It cost over 500 millions. There was even a tractor Belarus-82 for 43 millions.
