Former Polish judge Tomasz Szmydt lands a job in Belarus

Former judge Tomasz Szmydt has found a job in Belarus, reports dorzeczy.pl. "Excellent work," he writes about the BELTA propaganda agency. The Polish defector retrained as its "correspondent" and calls himself a "journalist and publicist". At BELTA, Shmydt talks to guests.

Tomasz Szmydt appeared in Belarus in the spring of 2024. At a press conference in Minsk, he declared that he had left the country because of political persecution and that he would ask Aliaksandr Lukashenka for asylum. Subsequently, a criminal case was opened against him in Poland on suspicion of espionage.
