Reports: Michael Schumacher out of coma
The seven-time F1 champion has been transferred from Grenoble hospital to a rehabilitation clinic.
German mass media reported it referring to the sportsman’s manager Sabine Kehm.
“Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore,” RIA Novosti quotes Sabine Kehm. The sportsman’s family are thankful to the medical stuff for their work and assistance and to the rescuers that arrived on the spot after the accident.
"The family are also thankful to all those who sent messages of support. It helped Michael a lot. For the future we ask for understanding that his further rehabilitation will take place away from the public eye", the manager announced.
The sportsman was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a severe head injury in a skiing accident at the end of 2013.
