Valery Ukhnalyou detained by riot policemen with machine guns
The candidate for deputy and the member of the left party "Fair World" stayed at his relatives in Hrodna.
According to the information provided by
the web-site "Tovarisch-online", at about 5 p.m. Ukhnalyou went out of the city
to the country-house. Traffic policemen stopped him on the road, they were
accompanied by armed riot policemen. They examined the car thoroughly, paying
extra attention to Ukhnalyou's draft materials on his electoral campaign.
The activist does
not exclude that the detention is connected with the incident which happened
late at night on Thursday. The police confiscated materials of the campaign
"For fair elections" from Mahileu activists then.
The car which
Ukhnalyou was driving was taken to the Hrodna police department. According to
the policemen, it looked like the car of the coin-forgers.
