Syrian authorities release 260 political prisoners

Human rights defenders think that the Syrian government decided to release the prisoners de to their course for liberalization. Official Damasсus had to promise to conduct a series of mass political and economic reforms to the population, after many thousands of demonstrators had come out to the streets demanding to change the government, informational agencies report.
