Statkevich and Us’ sentence to be pronounced on May 26

The sentence will be pronounced to ex-candidates Mikalai Statkevich and Dzmitry Us and to the other participants of the Square in Lenin District Court at 2 p.m. on May 26. Dzmitry Us has told Euroradio that a court secretary informed him about it by phone on the morning of May 25.

According to the ex-candidate, judge Lyudmila Hrachova will pronounce the court’s decision. She has finally recovered and got down to work. Dzmitry Us does not hope to be acquitted.

Dzmitry Us: “She told me to be there by 2 p.m. – the court’s decision will be announced. The authorities are scared because you explain to the people what is happening in our election system, that people do not vote, they are like mutes. That is why the government will try to intimidate the people who bring it up. I do not think that there is any chance to be acquitted”.

That is why the presidential candidate will bring the things he has prepared for his transportation to prison to court on Friday. He has told us what he is going to bring.

Dzmitry Us: “I have prepared tights, T-shirts, socks and underwear. What else… a warm sweater”.

According to Us, he has prepared the family for parting with him for several years. But he is not sure that his relatives will have enough self-restraint when they hear the sentence.

Let us remind you that the court’s decision had to be pronounced to Mikalai Statkevich, Dzmitry Us, Andrei Paznyak, Alyaksandr Klaskouski, Alyaksandr Kvyatkevich, Artsyom Hrybkou and Dzmitry Bulanau on May 20. However, it was postponed due to the sudden illness of the judge which was announced 30 minutes before the hearing.
