Musical Mother Language Day action forbidden in Polatsk
The action had to take place near the "Ŭ" monument on February 21.
Polatsk musicians – the leader for the band "Horad N" and the folklore band "Varhan" – had been going to sing a few songs in our mother tongue, Salidarnast reports.
The local authorities have not allowed the action because they applied for it too late. The organizers had to apply for the it at least 15 days before the action. The absence of agreements with the police and ambulance were among the other reasons for the refusal.
