Belarus' Jewish leader found guilty, released in court

Since Mr Dorn was held in pre-trial detention for one year, the court has counted it as "two years in one," Radio Liberty reports. Mr Dorn was charged with tax evasion and office abuse. He eventually was cleared of the second charge.

Prosecutor Tatstsyana Rak was asking the court to imprison Mr Dorn for 5 years in a top-security colony and to confiscate his property.

In his last word in court, Mr Dorn pleaded partially guilty by admitting his tax evasion.
