Cars queuing for 30 hours at Belarus-Lithuania border

Information about queues at border check-points is not available at week-ends. Meanwhile, people have been queuing at the border for more than a day, informs Radio Liberty.

The queue of cars is several kilometers long at Belarus-Lithuania border. A woman queuing near the border check-point Medniki-Kamenny Loh has informed about it. According to our interlocutor, the cars are queuing in Lithuania and Belarusian frontier guards have caused the delay. “I have been there and seen everything. Only 4 people are working at the Belarusian check-point – two of them work with passports and two – with cars, it is very slow – only 2 or 3 cars per hour. We have been queuing for more than 30 hours and there are still 128 cars ahead. I think Belarus is doing it on purpose – because of the actions organized at the border”, - said the woman.

According to her, a similar situation can be observed at all Belarusian border check-points.
