The bishops of Evangelical churches asked in their 15 August appeal to President Lukashenka to ban LGBT propaganda in the country, reports krynica.info

The appeal was signed by bishobs representing various Protestant churches Siarhei Tsvor, Leanid Mikhovich, Leanid Varanenka and Vyachaslau Buchneu.

The Protestant leaders proposed to pass a law banning what they call LGBT propaganda among children, teens and youth.

"The law banning the propaganda of homesexuality and other forms of untraditional sexual behavior will prevent propaganda and dissipation, especially among children and youth. It will also protect the rights of parents to bring up their children in a morally health environment," the appeal said.
