Passport proves preparation of Russian occupation of Crimea (photo)

The Lithuanian MFA has posted a picture of a Russian citizen’s passport issued on December 24, 2013 on Twitter. The man’s birthplace is ‘Crimea, Russia’.

The Lithuanian MFA cannot accept such a passport and give a visa to its owner because Lithuania does not recognize the annexation of Crimea, ru.delfi.lt reports.

Protest actions were being held all over Ukraine at the end of 2013. Victor Yanukovich was President back then. Protesters disagreed with his decision to refuse to sign the association and free trade agreement with the European Union. Yanukovich announced his decision on November 21, 2013.

Crimea was annexed in the spring of 2014.
