Paint poured on Milinkevich's vehicle in Slonim

Paint was poured Friday on the vehicle of Alexander Milinkevich, the leader of the For Freedom movement, in the western Belarusian town of Slonim. When he was eventually holding a meeting with local supporters at a private apartment, fire-fighters cited an alleged fire alarm to try to enter the building, reports Belapan. Milinkevich was two-hours late in this district center, because his vehicle's tyres had had to be changed due to a deliberate puncture in Pinsk, Brest region.

In Slonim, he met with dwellers at a local market place. Local officials were also present. Before the rally, the police asked Milinkevich to stop the meeting but would not interfere afterwards.
