Dmitry Medvedev and Alyaksandr Lukashenka will discuss economic cooperation of the two countries and mutual anti-crisis measures on March 19. The meeting will take place in the Russian leader’s residence in Zavidovo (Tver Region). It is expected that both sides will pay most attention to “The plan of mutual actions to minimize consequences of financial crisis, improvement of balance of payment, terms of business and mutual trade”. One of the elements of the plan is regular information exchange about the privatization of industrial objects. The main part of the plan provides for the creation of a Customs Union for economic integration. The idea should be realized in 2009.

The Presidents are expected to discuss contacts in the field of energy and the participation of Russia in the construction of a nuclear power plant in Belarus.
