The Lieutenant Colonel of the Investigatory Committee worked at the position of a deputy head of the investigatory department at Minsk district branch of the Investigatory Committee, Ejednevnik writes. Neither the KGB nor the Investigatory Committee provide any more details of this case. It is only known that the Lieutenant Colonel is suspected in extortion and accepting a large bribe for a positive decision to stop the criminal case he worked on.
The Lieutenant Colonel has been arrested. All the cases he worked on during the last several years are being checked. The fact of bribery could have been not the only one.
