Belarus doesn't give up hope to get a stabilization loan from Russia

Belarus hopes it will receive a stabilization loan from Russia this year, Belarus's Finance Minister said in a statement.
He confirmed that Belarus asked for $1 billion to be issued this year and $500 million next year, reports Interfax.

Korbut also said the amounts had been agreed on with the Russia's finance ministry "in a working order". He stressed that Belarus's desire to obtain a stabilization loan was not linked with the country's budget deficit as maintained by Russian ambassador in Minsk, Alexander Surikov.
